There is a problem with this windows Installer Package or Windows install cannot complete
This can happen due to a number of reasons such as insufficient permissions, generic bugs, and corrupt Windows Installer service.
Some applications may return the “There is a problem with this Windows installer package” error if your computer doesn't meet the minimum system requirements to run the app. Your Windows is not updated.
Restarting the Windows Installer service can do the job in most cases.
Simple Fixes (Try these first):
Install these libraries
Filteronme requires the following libraries to be installed. Most Windows computers already have these installed:
Run as Administrator
- Right-click the setup.exe file
- Select "Run as administrator"
Restart Your Computer
- Sometimes a simple restart clears temporary issues
Disable Antivirus Temporarily
- Your security software might be blocking the installer
- Remember to re-enable it after installation
Clean Download
- Delete the installer you downloaded
- Download a fresh copy from our official website
- Make sure the download completes fully
If the above doesn't work, try these clearing the temp folder:
Clear Temporary Files
- Press Windows key + R
- Type %temp% and press Enter
- Select all files and delete them
- Try the installation again
Still having issues? Let's try some advanced troubleshooting:
Generate an Installation Log
This will help us identify the exact problem:
- Open Command Prompt as administrator in the correct folder where the FilterOnMe.msi is (here is a guide on how to this)
- Run this command
msiexec /i "FilterOnMe.msi" /L*v "install_log.txt"
- Please send us the generated "install_log.txt" file.
- Please also include your Windows operating system version and a screenshot of the error.
You can contact us at support@filteronme.com. Please include what steps you've already tried.
